State Building Code Change 2022
July 1, 2022: HB 1681 was signed into law which updated the state building codes. The bill was effective immediately upon signing. Links to the relevant codes appear below.

Summary of 2018 New Hampshire Building Code Amendments (Rev1) below:
amendments-nh-state-bldg-code-2018-100723There is a six month grace period (July 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022) for building permits to allow projects in queue to follow the 2015 or 2018 ICC codes.
Note: The “State fire code” means “New Hampshire Fire Code” or “state fire code” as defined in RSA 153:1, VI-a, namely, “the adoption by reference of the Life Safety Code 2015 edition and the Uniform Fire Code NFPA 1, 2015 edition, as published by the National Fire Protection Association and as amended by the state board of fire control and ratified by the general court pursuant to RSA 153:5. The provisions of any other national code, model code, or standard referred to within a code listed in this definition shall be included in the state fire code unless amended in accordance with RSA 153:5.”
