About the Training:
Course Description:
This course explores the latest building codes for wood-framed building envelopes, focusing on code-compliant solutions for moisture management, air barriers, vapor control, and thermal
performance. Participants will gain knowledge needed to evaluate traditional and integrated solutions for durability and compliance.
Course Objectives:
After completion of this course, participants will be equipped to:
• Identify the latest updates to building codes for wood-framed exterior wall
assemblies.
• Evaluate water-resistive barriers, air barriers, and thermal insulation solutions
to meet current code requirements.
• Compare and contrast traditional multi-product approaches with
integrated single-product solutions for code-compliant building envelopes.
• Articulate the benefits of continuous insulation systems in minimizing thermal
bridging and improving overall energy performance.
